See ya training wheels...

Let me start this out by telling you how I feel about training wheels:

NOT COOL.

They have failed us on numerous occasions (See the slightly darker tooth in Colton's smile). They provide me and my children with a false sense of security (kind of like bibs). So, we are getting rid of those suckers. The kids pretty much have it down after only a few days of practice with Tyler. I was mostly in charge of documentary :)

See ya training wheels!

This pic makes me laugh. Colton is working on riding and Ashley is marching around the culdesac yelling, "Here we go Colton, Here we go!"

Proud Papa!

Morgan also turned 8 months. She is slithering ALL over now. I was unloading the dishwasher only to find her making her way around the corner to help :)

Playhouse!

Tyler built a little "play world" in the backyard for the kids. Complete with a water-feature sandbox, a swingset, and a playhouse mounted on the sandbox. It has helped me out a ton since the kids are home for the summer. The playhouse mounted to the sandbox has now given us back our back patio... here we come outside dinners! Glad I have such a handy man!

We do most of our art projects outside now, makes an easy clean up and keeps the house quiet while bitty naps.

And, bitty is now mobile. She does what I like to call the "Fat girl army crawl". It's not pretty, but she gets around. So, if I need to get something done. I put her in front of the washing machine and dryer. She watches the clothes go around and around and yells at them. But, at least she is stationary for a moment so I can actually accomplish something! I am going to put this in my book about mothering. Great way to keep a baby still!

Summer!

This is what I love about Colorado. There really is no "spring". It goes from cold and windy to 90 degress. But no, you will not hear me complain about the heat. The kids and I have so much fun outside in the summer, I am so happy it is here. We haven't made it to the outdoor pool yet (nasty case of swimmer's ear in Ms. Ashley), but it is on the agenda for the week. But, here is how we have started things...

4 year old Co-ed Tball. Enough said.

Colton plays a mean short stop and Ashley left field (for now). They are surprisingly more interested than I had anticipated, and love it!

My little Morgo. She is towed along to various practices, recitals, whatever and is happy as a clam. She is so happy and loves to be out doing whatever the kids are doing (including our tree swing). 7 months worth of spunk!

My wonderful husband takes various nature pictures with our new camera (this is the only one I deemed cool enough for the blog). We have a tiny hummingbird nest in our pear tree. First we thought it was a beehive (we are pretty much experts when it comes to nature!)

The best 12 dollars I ever spent. The rope swing, enjoyed by all :)
