Sum Sum Summatime!

Yup... it's finally here. The pools are open and we are loving summer. Tyler has been in New York for business this week, so this couldn't have come at a better time. I am only so amusing to the kids for so long. We loved the whale slide at the rec center pool, and came home thoroughly exhausted- we are still napping, in fact! I can't believe how much the twins have changed since last summer. They can walk around all by themselves in the little pool and can go around and around to the slide like KIDS. Scary to think they are no longer my little babies. Makes pool time much less hectic for me, though. Love it!

This is how Colton warms up. He is munching goldfish and laying on the towel.

Definitely 2 different skin tones here. Even with SPF 60 Ashley is still my little latina... and Colton, not so much. Would never guess they are related.

Uncle Scott and Aunt Rachel Visit!

We are so excited to have Uncle Scott and Aunt Rachel back in Colorado for a couple of days! We had a dinner at our house to celebrate Grandpa Mike's Birthday while they were in town. Colton and Ashley were a little scared of Uncle Scottie at first, since they haven't seen him in a while. But, they quickly warmed up and Colton was soon wrestling on the ground with him.

Great Grandma showing Ashley some ballet :)

Uncle Scott and Aunt Rachel.Colton's new music buddy.
Scott is always doing weird things. Maybe that's why Colton does weird things too?

Birthday cupcakes!

This one is my favorite. Look at Grandpa's face!

So happy to spend time with Great Grandma and Grandpa, too. We miss Scott and Rachel not living here in CO... hopefully they'll move back!

Spring Flowers!!!

Today we bought all of our flowers for our pots and our gardens and planted them. What a beautiful Colorado day!!!
Colton was actually a serious gardener. He helped place all of the plants in the pots and here he is helping daddy pull grass out to put in more flowers.

Ashley was not as good of a gardener. She started this sunbathing on the lawn business. She would carry around one pot of flowers and sing with them. That's why I had twins. I at least got one yard worker out of the deal. (Although Colton laid with her for a minute :)).

Mommy and little gardener.

Ashley stopped singing and dancing with her flower long enough to pose next to daddy.
All of our pots are planted, and weeds are pulled. All the while enjoying this beautiful sunny day.
