Rockies Game

Darrell was nominated for People Magazine Person of the Year. He was announced at the Rockie's Game, and we all got to go see him, Sandy, and his kids down on the field and enjoy a nice warm day in the sun.
Ashley LOVED the cotton candy. Colton didn't really like it but thought is was soft so he briefly used it as a pillow. I was so bummed I didn't get it on camera.

Colton and Grandma Sandy
Have you ever seen and icee pop this big? Me neither.

You can never get them to both look at the same time... but we tried :).

Cory and Jen with little miss.

I just threw these pics in. Thought they were cute of Tyler and the twins .

That's all. Hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day Weekend!

All Grown Up

Last night was the first time I have let myself admit that I am all grown up. My friends aren't even kids anymore. We had Bri, Terry, Alise, and Eric over for dinner, with their babies Jaimison and Deegan, respectively. I was trying to decide if we should eat dinner in or out, when I realized nobody would truly be able to sit at the table and eat their food, and I decided we would all camp in the family room while we ate our pizza. I then realized that pre kids, we would have been doing the following:
1. Meeting at an actual restaurant that might have a wait and might take a long time and not care.
2. Would not be watching "Enchanted" per Colton's request, but maybe a baseball game or something
3. No one would have been home before 12, instead of the house being cleared out by 8:30.

So, I am definitely a mom, with my mom friends. And, I am willing to admit I am no longer the young, care-free vixen (ha ha) I once was. Wouldn't trade it for the world...

Here I am holding Deegan....

Colton (my mama's boy... Ashley could care less, more of a daddy's girl) could not handle me holding the baby. He had to make sure he was cuddled, too.

At this point, holding this tiny peaceful bundle, I thought maybe I was ready to add another little blessing to our lives. But, the future talk of sleepless nights brought me right back to my happy sleep-filled nights.

Our party (yes, my children are wrestling).

New mom :)

And, lastly. Bri was feeding Jaimison, and Eric was feeding Deegan. Ashley quietly picked up her Mickey, wrapped him in a blanket, and pretended to feed him from her Barbie cup. Cutest thing ever. Little mommy in training :0

Pet Bunny: Kota

Sooo, we have had this baby bunny, that we believe was born underneath our deck, and then the mommy bunny either died or ran away. But the baby has been there since early spring, and has been our nemesis. It eats our grass and flowers, and poops on our deck. Not cool bunny. So, we have tried numerous times to shoo this bunny out our gate, but the only home it know is under the deck, and it goes there every time. We have tried bunny repellent, a trap, etc. Well, this morning we caught it! Tyler shooed it into the trap, and he freed it in the greenbelt far from our house. I hope that 1. he doesn't find his way back, and, 2. he doesn't die.... there aren't that many yummy flowers in the greenbelt. Oh, and Colton named the bunny "Kota", that's what he names everything. So, here is our adventure:Tyler spotted the bunny out from under the deck, and Ashley quickly ran to assist in rock throwing.
Tyler chased the bunny...The twins chased Tyler....

And done! Here is Kota before Tyler took him to the greenbelt. Bye little buddy.

ZOO!!!!

Today was our first trip to the zoo for the year. We are "zoo members" now, which means we'll be visiting there, A LOT. We only hit half of the zoo today, and that took us 3 hours. Here is our trip:

Tapirs: yep, they're real. I was beginning to think that was some animal that "Diego" made up for the kids show. Not really all that cool, though. Kangaroo. Ashley and I kept yelling at him to jump, and he just looked at us. I wanted the kids to see how they hop along.

Penguins! These were Colton's favorite. One penguin kept jumping out of the water by where we were standing and splashing us. Colton laughed and screamed every time.

Flamingos: stinky. That's all I have to say about them. I didn't remember them being so stinky!

The hippo. He barely even raised an eyelid at us.

The.... (drum roll) train ride! The kids heard the train whistle and they were not all that interested in anything else we saw until we rode the train.

And the carousel!

This is where I stuck the kids to wait while daddy waited in line for shaved ice.
And... my favorite. The elephants. I watched this big guy scoop up a pile of grass for a while to stick it in his mouth. Poor guy.
