The kids had a Noah's Ark party at preschool, and they each got to dress up as an animal of their choosing. Ashley half-heartedly chose the kitty only because of the tail that she loved. However, Colton fully immersed himself in the role. He:
1. picked a ridiculous full-body tiger costume with mask
2. was the only child still wearing his costume at pick-up because he refused to remove it.
3. continued to wear the costume even at home.
4. "ROARED" (more like "raaarrr") the entire day.
Colton cracked me up. His tennis coach last night said, "Man, I love Colton. He just goes to the beat of his own drum. He doesn't get too worked up, he's just like, yeah, we're at tennis, sure, I'll hit the ball, and then he dances back to his dot with his racket." Well put. Colton didn't care what anyone thought of him, even though he was the only one in costume, he was proud to be a tiger. Didn't matter if it wasn't cool. Wish we all were that secure with ourselves!
